Tweets regarding the Oculus/Facebook account complication becoming fully realized are blowing up. IGN’s contribution is a popular one, especially among the gaming folks I follow. Easy to digest and straight to the point.

I don’t follow the intricacies of the virtual reality scene very closely, but the Facebook account taking control of Oculus customer data and licensing is not new knowledge. We’ve known that the Oculus Quest 2 hardware requires a Facebook account to use since the all-in-one unit’s announcement.

Always funny to see how old news made at widely covered press events still ends up becoming news upon the product’s release, all over again.
